There's a reason I made the Obamasphere, and its thanks to the lovely people here at the wiki
Except for one, you know who you are :)
Two years ago, me and a friend decided to whip out Hornets on Arcade and call them the Obamasphere. We'd fly them around and convince people that the Obamapshere was indeed a real ship (only for them to find it was just a miner).
We grabbed the attention of a pure wiki main, who started decrying our chat and saying that the obamasphere "wasn't real". My friend and I fought back with claims that it *was* real and that it says Obamasphere on my screen. He seemed to get infuriated with our counterclaims and rage quit. We had our laughs and went about our day.
That was, until I decided to look up the FANDOM wiki article for the Hornet.
Looking at the Trivia section, I saw that someone wrote down that it was used as a joke ship as "bait" for the best ship in the game, something like that. Matter of fact, it's still on the Galaxypedia article right now, how the time flies.
Eventually, after looking hard enough I came across a wiki thread (sugon remembers this) where I find the dude who was crying in game about the obamasphere crying on the wiki about the obamasphere. This dude legit wanted me banned because he thought I was using client-side hacks to make the obamasphere real and he was begging Sean (wiki owner at the time) to have me banned in game.
My reaction was priceless
To this day, this wiki main leaves whenever I join on my main. That's why I join on an alt whenever he comes back to arcade. I wonder why he still hates me after two years of obamasphere, but who knows...
