Welcome to my user page.

Hi, I'm shooter7620; a former active player of Galaxy. On rare occasion, I'll play it, but otherwise generally refrain from doing so because of how time-consuming it is to play the game when there isn't much fun to be had (in my opinion). Before I stopped playing Galaxy, I used to lose capital ships fairly often. Anyways, with that out of the way why don't I get started with my presence on the wiki?

I first found the Fandom version of the Galaxy Wiki, when I looked at the in-game bulletin boards. Back then in late beta, you didn't have much information available to you easily on ships; so I went there to see if I could find good information. To my surprise, there was actually decent information on the wiki. I did stop playing the game after that for a good while though, so when I came back to the game in Gamma and to check the Wiki again; I was surprised at the lack of up to date information on the wiki (probably from all the people who quit from the very controversial economy update in Gamma, reference the Update Log page versions .69 through .70 if you wish to know more), which ended up motivating me to start doing a little editing on the wiki to try to help out.

I contribute to the wiki, mostly to keep ship page information up-to-date. I will sometimes edit other types of articles though, if I find the time to do so.

On the Galaxypedia, I currently help manage moderation and maintaining of the pages with other Galaxypedia Staff. I do make edits where possible, but I rarely play the game anymore; so it is quite difficult for me to make updates to Ship pages. However, if you ever have any questions related to the Galaxypedia or need help with something, do not hesitate to contact me or other Galaxypedia Staff.

Here's some (more or less) in depth detail about me:

  • I do programming in my free time if I feel like doing so.
  • I like to play video games.
  • Reading books is something I really like to do if I can't figure out how to otherwise pass time.
  • I have an incredible tendency to procrastinate.
