<h1>Overview</h1>The '''Christmas 2017 Event''' was a limited event that allowed the player build four different [[:Category:Limited|Limited]] event ships, participate in a scavenger hunt, and earn special giveaway ships for playing at certain times. The event ran from the 15^th of December to the 7^th/8^th of January, as was stated by [[Galaxy Staff|MasterPlural]]. The Limited ships included the [[Icy|<span style="color:#8dfc80">Icy</span>]] ([[Invictus]]), [[Viking|<span style="color:#8dfc80">Viking</span>]] ([[Centurion]]), [[Glacier|<span style="color:#8dfc80">Glacier</span>]] ([[Aegis]]), and [[Wooly Mammoth|<span style="color:#8dfc80">Wooly Mammoth</span>]] ([[Mammoth]]). A fifth ship was awarded through a quest given by the [[The Ice Monster|Yeti]], in which you had to collect 15 [[Snowflake]]s that spawned at random bases depending on the number of players in the server. On completion of the mission, the player was given a limited [[:Category:Carrier|Carrier]] called the [[Blizzard]] as a prize. Additionally, players that were on a server with an admin on Christmas Day (December 25^th) were awarded the [[Festive Wasp|<span style="color:#8dfc80">Festive Wasp</span>]] and [[Coal Wasp|<span style="color:#8dfc80">Coal Wasp</span>]], both limited editions of the [[Wasp]] [[:Category:Miner|miner]] only available as giveaway awards. Though not necessarily part of the official event, the [[2018 Ship]] raffle occurred during the same time as this event.
