Overview

The Christmas 2017 Event was a limited event that allowed the player build four different Limited event ships, participate in a scavenger hunt, and earn special giveaway ships for playing at certain times. The event ran from the 15^th of December to the 7^th/8^th of January, as was stated by MasterPlural. The Limited ships included the Icy (Invictus), Viking (Centurion), Glacier (Aegis), and Woolly Mammoth (Mammoth). A fifth ship was awarded through a quest given by the Yeti, in which you had to collect 15 Snowflakes that spawned at random bases depending on the number of players in the server. On completion of the mission, the player was given a limited Carrier called the Blizzard as a prize. Additionally, players that were on a server with an admin on Christmas Day (December 25^th) were awarded the Festive Wasp and Coal Wasp, both limited editions of the Wasp miner only available as giveaway awards. Though not necessarily part of the official event, the 2018 Ship raffle occurred during the same time as this event.

Trivia

The "Yeti" was also known as the "Ice Monster." The names switched partway through the event.
